****, I meant min thickness for pads not rotors.

I love how the frigin service records can't even give accurate information. I just checked it again to make sure I read it right and it says the ROTORS were 7mm.

Secondly, there's a TSB out on this if your brakes are excessively squealing, which if your dealer is cool, should result in a replacing of your pads and maybe even rotors too all without any out of pocket from your end.

Without hearing it for sure, it's hard to say if you're within normal limits, or eligible for the TSB, but if you search on here there are several people who have had their pads and rotors replaced.

The last option could just be that your pads are worn down, at which point yeah, I'd be a little irritated that they sold me a car that needed new brakes right away (though that's something you shoulda picked up on during the test drive).

Good luck and welcome to the IS-F!
I understand the TSB is for pre-2011 F's as the new parts are already on the newer models. I rarely get a squeak off the rear, and this goes away if I get on the car and bed in the pads at higher speeds.

Min thickness for the front and rear pads is 1mm. Fronts start at 9.8 mm, so you get 8.8 mm of wear. Rears have 11.8 mm, so you get 10.8mm of wear. I'm still on my first set of Carbotech rear pads. The rears barely wear at all.

Having all four pads replaced this week per the TSBs. Hopefully I will never hear a squeak again.

Can someone let me know what the bed-in process is for these? I've never done it before.

Raybestos, stop tech are very quite. Factory, carbotech bobcats and track pads squeak a little. Hawk hp+ sound like your brakes are broken.... I have used mult sets of all these pads and these are my honest opinion. The carbotech xp12/10 are amazing for the track and stop tech pads have been the best on the street. Quite, ultra low dust "good" performance.

Same thing happen to me when i got F. I change my pads to Wearever. Its been great. No squeaks and less dust on my rims. difference is that wearever is not as aggressive as the oem pads. Im happy with it. I dont plan on tracking it.
