Free Battery! Or why I love Lexus
My Battery died Friday morning, not a great way to start a Friday! So I see on the label it has an 84 month warranty. I call Sewell Lexus (they are local to me) and they inform me of a free replacement after 1-2 yrs and a 50% prorated discount after in yrs 3-4.
Sounds good until I login to Sewell with my CL discount and the list price is 1500.00
and even with CL is still nearly 1k.
Just before heading to Vatozone after work I called to verify price. Turns out the battery is 108.00, and that mine had been replaced 23 months ago by the PO, So battery was free, car wash was free, install was free and my broken + battery terminal cover (which I broke) was also replaced free!
Awesome for Sewell Lexus Customer service

Also...what's Vatozone? Is that some sort of racist comment towards Autozone because a lot of Mexicans work there?

As stated the battery is 108.00, list price is a mistake and should be taken care of soon on the site.
And also the Urban Dictionary is a pretty good definition. I attribute it more to the Chrome aisle full of fender vents and hood scoops that glue on and other "mods" people like to do

I did not intend it as a racist statement, just as I am sure you didnt mean this with any hate....
This was a response to a member said he found cats.
Back on Topic:
My battery did have some corrosion on the Terminal but they didnt say what may have caused its early death. I have needed a few jumps during ownership because of my own mistakes and I am sure those did not help the situation at all. Nothing added that may drain a charging system (no added stereo equipment) Although I do have a clifford alarm that is disabled but still has an active LED. It was disabled by the dealer I purchased from. I wonder if its the drain?

Asians do eat cats...I was stating a fact.
A LED uses a very small amount of power. Unless you're not driving your car for a week, a small blinking LED isn't going to cause your problem. Could just be a bad battery. They are disposable after all.

Many hispanics however do work at Autozone atleast in California and Autozone does heavily employ hispanics in other regions of the US which leads to the association with them and Autozone which is a fact.
