2013 IS F's are out? I was told by a salesman just last week they won't be available until after Jan 1 at the earliest.

You can get way under $60k if you're firm with them and willing to walk away.

The Vipers are fast but they are all loaded with issues. Even almost impossible to get one towed without signing a waiver for damage. Ive had 3 zo6 corvettes, a sl500, sl600 and sl63 all have had issues. The vipers I have owned are great attention getters but also are vandalism targets. I have finally graduated to dependability with the occasional rush of acceleration. I also do not believe in mods. Dont need them. Just cause issues. The factory is much better than we are at maximizing the performance of our cars. BTW no pictures yet but the car is the new white color with white interior. Oh yea Im 66 but still kicking. lol.

I am so glad that you brought this up. The mention of the mods, that is. This is something I have been arguing for a long time, specifically with my brother. He has owned a few very high end vehicles that he has modded. I personally can't fathom buying a brand new Lamborghini and changing the already excellent performance features. He says, "To make them better." OK, I get that, but don't you think the factory has already made them better? Not to mention, I would think that the car's computer is somehow affected by the change in some performance enhancements. Bottom line, I agree with you riverfalls.

Getting back to my post, I still haven't seen 2013 IS Fs available at dealers or available for order. Am I missing something? The Lexus site still has the 2012 for build.

The "to mod or not to mod" debate will rage on with no right answer. Some say don't touch the car, others want to make it even more unique with visual mods or make it faster with performance mods. There seems to be a pretty even split on these forums, but the point is that there really is no "right" answer. It's all up to the individual.

BUT forget that debate... post pics of this white on white 2013 IS-F. That sounds very nice!
