Only ran it for a few weeks..... While I battery shopped..

You would need to make some custom securing brackets, since there is no way to anchor it down with the oem brackets...

Kirkland from Costco, made by Johnson Controls who also makes Interstate, Everstarts, Diehard, etc. but for fraction of the price of those brand names.

I got my Optima red top delivered yesterday and it incurred a little damage on the corner before it got to me. It looks like there is a bit of insulation (styrofoam?) that is now exposed. I could care less about the cosmetics, but I was just looking for some confirmation that this won't affect the performance of the battery (i.e., leak). Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Josh

Hey guys so my Costco just died in less than 2 years. After reading some posts I believe Walmart will carry a size 24 that will fit the MYIS350. So should I get 24 or 24F? I can't figure out the differences.

Why Lexus chose batteries for the ES and the IS that are exactly the same size and capacity but have different polarity is beyond me

It's a Group 24 size. The difference is the polarity is reversed. DON'T get a Group 24F.

Just install Walmart size 24 and it fits perfectly . There were 4 batteries returned at Costco and those guys advised lasted no more 3.5 years....so watch out for Costco maybe quality went bad? Hope the Walmart one will last 5 years...

^^^^NO - No affiliation what so ever. WalMart however is the parent company of Sam's Club. Sam's Club and Costo are competitors.

Josh there is a small amount of pressure inside as batteries gas and vent. While this probably is not an issue, for integrity sake, and the high cost of that battery I would get it replaced with a new condition battery for piece of mind...if the battery casing ever distorts that will be your weakest link. You will also have a thermal and insulation break in the case, which can affect the longevity as well. Yours looks minor, but its worth the effort to exchange it.

Default Lexus battery

So I've owned my car for almost 5 years now amd I've been through 3 Lexus batteries in that time. I went to start the car today and its completely dead. I guess it's time to stop being cheap and actually go buy a battery. Has this happened to anyone else? Any recommendations for a new one?

I ran the PC680 daily for a few years and never had issues. Word of caution though is that battery does not have much reserve so if you leave your lights or radio on for some time without the engine charging you will have problems.
