Dish soap and water is better for the rubber's long term life than WD-40. When I put the hitch on the F, I used Dawn dish soap about 1:4 diluted with water. Worked like magic for both off and on.

I'm contemplating of adding the car-treats midpipes.
If i was pretty comfortable putting on the HKS axleback can I put on the midpipes myself too? Like would it just entail removing some bolts and taking it out of rubber hangers?
in addition, the cartreat ones are modular and slide into each other, which could require welding to avoid leads. Or do you think clamps would be ok?

thanks, I had no idea that there was controversy over this product. On a fine car like this, I'll stay away from it. I guess I'll have to check out the Muffler Shop in Livingston.

Gotta use that donut. It's a pivot point for flexibility. Not to mention it helps reduce vibration. The JoeZ exhaust doesnt have that pivot point, just flanges that bolt together. I could only take a week of new rattles from the vibration the exhaust caused both in the car and in my head :-(

I've been looking for dyno sheets or noted HP gains from the HKS SSM exhaust whether it be the rear section or full exhaust. Does anyone have any information on this exhaust?
