This is an exciting article - especially for those of us who hadn't seen the car before (raises hand).

Do you have any info on the specifications or build?

This car was for sale not too long ago with a full spares kit. There's little resemblance to a street IS F. Sad they have electrical problems, that's usually a Japanese strong point - they get electrics and wiring harnesses right for the most part compared to the rest of the world. There's so little in common with a street car and so little one could even consider adapting to a road going car, it's more like NASCAR than what we know and love as the IS F.

Ahh - did this car start out as an IS-F, or was it a modified IS 350?

Not sure, but I looked for the thread on it, and couldn't find it easily.

^^ Not the same race cars...

Those were indeed regular IS's with some 4.7 V8 conversions..

This one has always been a legit IS-F

Here are some pics of it as it races in the "Superstars Series" in Italy.. (Newest to Oldest)

I've seen a CF one just like this on a guys car on lexusfforum.com. Look for a thread titled something like "check out my new cf hood". IIRC
