So the "ELSD" is the same in a IS350 or ISF, correct?

Jeff[/QUOTE]

correct, that’s what i was referring to. If he was to only swap in a is350 then he will lose his lsd because his car is a 2011 F which comes with real LSD, oppose to the 2008-09 which only comes with ELSD, which mean us 08-09 will loose nothing except some MPH . Unless if possiable you can remove the LSD from the 2011 into the is350 diff..?

Yeah I wasnt sure-couldnt remember, based on my research from last year.
Thats why I bought the 350 carrier, because I knew it would bolt in and the elsd would continue to work, just never got around to installing it.

I saw this thread and just got it done. Found a diff from a 2008 350 for $400. Like the OP said, automatic mode acts a bid odd. I find the car drags certain gears longer than it should but also what he says, it appears to get better the more you drive. Highway drives are going to suck now, RPM's are higher and will drink more fuel. The car breaks loose much easier now with the short gearing. This is what the doctor ordered! Highly recommend this great modification. Thanks Darbs242 for answering my questions.

Im thinking im going to run around on the is350 rear end and get my isf carrier built over the winter with a os giken lsd and gs430 gear and pinion for the 3.7 finally drive. i feel like the is350 gearing will be great at the strip and for blowing sideways but the 3.7 will be the best of both worlds from factory 2.9 to is350 4.09

Once the is350 gears go in my car, im going to re-jet nitrous for 150 shot, fill up with MS109, put on my slicks and go back to the strip... no cage rules in canada so hopping i can find another 7 tenths with the changes.

Quite honestly Ryan, you should be able to hit low 11's with your current setup. Not sure where your losing time compared to my runs. Is your full timeslip posted somewhere to compare? Whats the DA of your run? Whats been your fastest ET N/A?
I was hardly having any wheel spin off the line and nitrous was kicking in almost right away off the launch in 1st gear (i set to 1500rpm) thanks to mitch08isf and his ingenious programmable window switch.
Which tires? I know if I would have bumped the shot to 175 from the 130 I would have been in the 10's. I might have had to go to a progressive switch at that point to keep traction, but I was willing to do it until I heard the call of the GT-R in my head. Plus they just wouldnt let me go down without getting banned permanetly.

Slay u taking notes..lol..

My 11 sec run thread: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...rag-strip.html

I have MT Et drag 275/40/17. on volk re30s. I have had a few 12.0-12.1 runs NA.

With nitrous on, I had a 1.6 60ft once but my reaction time was slower...You ran 130 shot with safe cell, Im running 100shot on 93oct. My ported intake manifold makes more low end tq than yours when Im not spraying but with nitrous on it hurts top end power because I have slowed port velocity which chokes out the top end. You cant notice it NA but with nitrous on its not making 50 hp and around 70 tq that you are and Slay was before he went nuts with a 200 shot and two tanks... (sick F'er) Its three tenths.. conditions, a little more nitrous, my intake manifold... could be all of these things. All i know is that my goal is tens and that we both have fast *** Lexus

Check my older thread : https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...evolution.html

So I have ordered the following parts to try and get into the tens:
-IS350 carrier for the 4.09 final drive
-MS109 (unleaded race fuel)
-150 shot jets to run with the MS109 (up from 100 on 93oct)
-Nitrous controller that allows me to skip first and or second gear before nitrous engagement (for the new final drive, traction wise) and set RPM engagement and disengagement parameters (3400-6600) so I don't have low rpm detonation or intake back fires if I bounce off rev limiter.

All the parts will be in by next week and I will probably make it up to the strip in Naperville, Canada (no cage rules) and see how I fair.

Would you mind if I put my net out in your river of money for just 5 min? LOL
