moral of story: never give anyone a ride in car.. unless its an attractive female in short dress or short skirt. since those are silky and does not harm leather :3

Your best bet is to probably go to an upholstery shop that does car interior and have them try to match the fabric and color for you. I just don't know how much it'll cost but I'm assuming it'll be WAYYY less than the price of a whole new seat!

You don't need to replace the whole seat leather their are some upholstery shops that can stitch that up for you. And it would look fine>

I would have had a heart attack if I saw that after somebody got out of my ride. Holy S@#%. That is probably big bucks to have somebody attempt to fix it and find the right perforated leather. I'd make him buy a new seat. What's wrong with people? What did he have in his pocket? A box cutter?

Well...damage has been done, I know he carried a big pocket foding kinfe in his front left pocket and that's something in his back left pocket as well yesterday. and the part pissed me off the most is :
Yesterday he said "Sorry I didn't know how it happened, but I'll chip in and see what we can do."
and he joked about "I can't believe Lexus use such cheap and weak leather on the seat, we can probably glue it back haha."

And today, he claim that's NO WAY he did it to my seat and all sort of BS. I would had punch him in his face if him and I not in the same branch of Military... But yea...I just need to get my seat fix and get it over with.

your "friend" sounds like a real classy guy. it would be obvious that he is the culprit as soon as he got out of the vehicle. i love it when people blame it on everything else but to admit their fault. cheap lexus seats, huh? what a retard.

Take it to Sewell they have a repair person that does great work. They will remove that section of seat and restock in a new piece. They did a section on my lumbar area on the drivers seat that I ripped. Looks brand new.

Seat protection is 3rd party. You will have to go through a lengthy claim process with whatever company it is, and more than likely, they'll send you to a service place that is neither Lexus nor Toyota.

Dude... that's messed up. What did he have in his back pocket? A sword? Geez. Sorry to hear. Be interesting to see how it can be spot repaired.

Was the torn as bad as mine? By any chance if you know where they order the Leather from? TX is too far from me, my best bid right now is hope that I can get the material somewhere and have my local shop replace it for me.

You are absolutly right...My torn was too bad...if they restitch it, it will looks really horrible...my only opinion is replace that section of the leather.
