I've been using Pennzoil Ultra since it first came out over a year ago. Since I'm in AZ where it's hot in the summer and it never gets to freezing, I use 10W-30. I have no issues and from what I have read I believe it truly is a premium synthetic. I use Pennzoil Platinum in my truck and my wife's ES.

Been using Pennzoil Ultra 5W-30 the past 30k miles, no issues. Recently, walmart didn't have any in stock and used regular Mobil 1 5W-30, no issues. Motor oil is motor oil under normal driving conditions. I feel no difference between the 2, gas mileage or otherwise.

I will stick with Mobil1 since it's $4-5 cheaper per 5 quart bottles.

I considered switching to Pennzoil Ultra since they say it keeps pistons cleaner than Mobil 1. However, since I have had my used Mobil 1 oil analyzed after 15k miles with no issues found, I decided to stick with Mobil 1.

I'm still trying to figure out the different between a Lounge and an Ultra Lounge now I can add Ultra Synthetic vs. Synthetic to my query

Mobile one seems to work well for me in my cars so I just stick with it. The only one that doesn't use it is the Supra and that runs Rottella T for different reasons.

It states that it cleans the pistons 25% better than Mobile 1

Yep. It was Mobil 1 Extended Performance and a Fram oil filter. Fram is contraversial, but it's so easy to grab one when they are right there by the oil at Wal-Mart. And I've used them for years. For peace of mind, I'm dropping back to 10k to 12k mile intervals, using just regular Mobil 1 instead of the Extended Performance.

Don't they use Mobil 1 on the Z06 Vettes stock? If it is good enough for a Z06, it should be good for an F....

^^^^But, if Pennzoil Ultra is used by Ferrari by that logic it should be better:

You can use any synthetic oil and it will be fine as long as you change it when you are suppose to, no one can feel a "performance difference" between the different oils. I went from mobil 1 to valvoline, and now switched to pennzoil.

It's Mobil...not Mobile. Yeah and you can get better gas milage by using Bridgestone Ecopia tires...that's what it states

Wanna keep your engine internals clean? Change your oil every 500 miles. I did some calculations and I think that will clean the engine 138% better than Pennzoil.

Seriously though...change your oil, oil filter, and air filter often and you'll be ok. Switch to a 2500 mile oil change program. Your engine will ALWAYS be clean because the oil will always be clean.

Mobil 1 is used in Porsches from the factory. It's also the oil that's used in most Formula 1 cars and F1 is the ultimate form of motorsport racing.

Just because a it's a Ferrari does not mean it's better. Dumbest logic I've heard today.
