Yeah, I was the one who suggested turning off the syncing. It's been much better for me (has happened once in 6 months, rather than the previous at least once every month), but not perfect. Others are reporting variable results. Back to the drawing board...

New IOS 6.1.4 fixed issue

I had been losing my phonebook and speed dials every time I got into the car. Finally, the IOS 6.1.4 fixed the issue. No more problems.

So it was an iOS issue after all? I did the syncing turn off and like bcarpenter, it's been better but not perfect.

mine just did it today for the first time in 7 months of ownership. Very annoying but at least I know its pretty fast to get set it all up again. Still kind of annoying
