Swift Spring pics & thickness vs. stock
#16
To answer a much earlier question...
Yes Swift Spring with stock Tokico shocks...
Drop 1" front , .6" Rear
Nice even stance - im pleased with it.
And yes I agree with the above---its all a harmony thing....just slappin on aftermarket parts expecting improvements in performance is not always the case.
In my case I wanted a more even stance with the car and not slamming it to the ground (no offense just not my thing)

I'm saying if you have a 2012 IS F and you want it lower, just install the front swift springs, since your rear springs are firmer than my '09 was. This is exactly what I have done to my '09.

Cool! So I guess the next question is, where is everyone getting these from and who offers the best deal?

Not a bad price... but I didn't take the plunge since I would like to go for a ride in an ISF w/ Swift Springs before making my decision. NYCES3 we need to meet up...

VIP Auto Salon has them. Just for kicks I added it to my cart and calculated shipping, $334 shipped. To Guam I'm not sure, LOL.

They are dual rate springs not progressive, and the diameter of the rod they used is a lot smaller than the OEM spring which makes it softer if all things are equal, but they're not because it's a dual rate spring. The Swift spring is also a LOT longer in terms of the number of coils (it's really important to think of a spring as a torsion bar coiled up for convenient packaging) which also means it will be softer if all things are equal, but again, they're not equal because of the dual rate wind.
The only way to know for sure what's going on is to put the springs on a spring tester and see how they respond, or ask Swift for the rates.

Following up on what Lance said above, does anybody know the spring rates of the stock springs that were paired with the stock Tokico shocks 08-10 by chance? I searched buy didn't find anything?
All I got were the spring rates of the swifts @ 9kg front and 8kg rear.
Thx

Delayed response follow up....I took these off n went back to stock... they can’t hack the weight in the front like the stocks. That thicker stock rod “pause” makes a difference.... got sick of the way it rode and n slight bounce.
traded better look for better performance.
long live the oem spring.
for me at least.

My 13 came with swifts. I immediately went back to oem springs. It doesn’t look as good, but rides and handles better.
