Not happy with the front (stock height). Pleased with the rear, albeit a bit worried once I drop it 0.6 of an inch. Eager to see how it looks with the front 1 inch lower. I'm thinking I maybe should have used 35 profile rubber instead of 225/40/19 up front like stock.

I think it looks great, especially once you get a 1"/0.6" drop. Why do you think you should have gone with 35 profile up front? That would give you more of a wheel gap?

It's a bit hard to see in the pics, but the tyres looked too big & stood out (couldn't get my eyes off them). I still had memories of how these rims looked on my 2IS IS250 & the front was a bit disappointing. I also felt the front tyres start to rub the inner liners in reverse, which I wanted to avoid. Also wanted a wider tyre than stock, which couldn't be achieved with 40 profile rubber (it'd have stood out even more too). The 40 profile tyres I put up front, also seemed to be "fatter" than the OEM Bridgestone 225/40's.
Went back around & thankfully my buddies @ the local tyre shop swapped them without charge from 225/40's to 235/35's. Much happier. The wheel gap increased ever so slightly. Now 2.5 little asian finger gap, so the 1" drop should take it to 1-1.5 gap, which should look fine.
19x9.5 +35 on the rear will require fender mods, correct? What about 19x9.5 +38? Using stock size 255/35/19 rubbers....
Our typical recommended fitment (100% plug-n-play, no modification) would include 9.5 ET45. This particular customer only had rubbing issues under certain circumstances, though, he was running a 275/30/19 tire.
You may be able to get away with the 9.5 ET35 and no fender mods. It would, however, depend on your ride height, tire brand/model, and alignment/camber specs.

thanks for the response! I'm just thinking of stock suspension, stock alignment/camber specs, and using nokian wrg3 255/35/19 on 19x9.5 +35 or +38.
