2012 LED Headlights
#32
Man, I LOVE the look of the new lights. They certainly freshen things up to the newer years. I personally hate losing any feature though, and I trouble with covering or masking any type of warning light. Maybe someone, somehow, will make some type of module or mod to incorporate it all one day. Wishful thinking.

So just to confirm - any pre-LED ISF (2008-2010) doing the OEM plug and play upgrade from Sewell will still throw the AFS warning light on the dash? And the only way around it is to ghetto rig black tape on the cluster?
I don't mind losing the AFS but the dummy light would bother me. I would've though Sewell would've mentioned this as part of their "plug and play" instructions on their site.
So if we pull the AFS fuse - the auto level won't work but as long as the lights are set at the right height it shouldn't be a problem right? They will just be in a static position?

CalitriSC's picture of the tape method is not Ghetto - I'm thinking you were expecting black tape on the front of the cluster?
- its completely hidden and seamless, underneath.... right on top of the circuit board. It only takes a few more minutes to remove the cluster as it does to pull the fuse.
The static position of the lights will just end up blinding on coming traffic every time there is a change in road elevation.
I don't even miss the AFS.
