Default Iss forged rmi scoop owners!

I installed my RMI scoops about three days ago and I noticed my horn sound changed.. The F used to have a bada** mean horn, but now with the scoops installed, it sounds like a horn coming from a '97 camry.. Any other RMI scoop owners notice this? Or did I do something wrong. thanks!

I noticed this as well a few days ago!! The horn feels like its directing towards the car, rather than away now.

And while ISS forged will tell you it will fit on Radar cruise equipped Cars, when in fact it won't...

I got mine installed , but had to mod them to fit.

sounds like the grounding issue... I had to grind away some of the paint off the scoops where the bolts/washers are to make a good contact so both horns work.... if only one of them are working it sounds "weak"...

Can you elaborate on that? So grinding away paint will make what have better contact? LOL. And the problem is just one horn working?

I installed my RMI scoops on Friday and had to sand a little paint off as well. I put some blue painters tape spaced about 1/4" around the hole to so didn't scratch the rest of the scoop and grabbed a sheet of sand paper I had sitting on my work bench. I sanded just enough off around the bolt hole to see a uniform circle of metal all the way around.

I did this to both scoops to make sure they both worked properly.

I turned both of mine backwards and bent them slightly away do they wouldn't ground out. Fit was perfect, and no grounding issues.

The sound change is normal.. You have to flip the horn for the install and now that u have the scoop in front the sound will be muffled a bit. mine sounds "wimpy" too. I laugh at it whenever i use it .

Then you likely have one horn not grounding correctly as mine sounds the same as previous once grounding issues were fixed.... Only had the wimpy sound when one horn was only working.

I drove by a 4th of July firework stand and they had signs that said "Honk 4 America" so I obviously honked and the sound of my horn made me cry, but I have the bad as* joe-z exhaust to make up for it
