Question 2013 IS-F Release date

Hi guys,

I'm about to order a Lexus IS-F but I wanted to know if anyone has any idea when the 2013 IS-F will be officially for sale.

I'm not talking about the next gen IS-F,

I just want to know when the 2013 IS-F's will be available for sale if anyone know I'd appreciate it.

lol no I don't know the release date unfortunately.

But I placed my deposit yesterday at the dealers and I tried to get a price but he couldn't give me a price saying "I have to place the order with Japan and then see if it'll be a 2012 or 2013 model"

I said to him there isn't a difference in specs they're both identical, to which he replied yes but the price might be different.

Honestly where I live dealers like to screw people over on cars and pricing cars ridiculously high, he's already trying to sell me the car for $82k lol and the average sticker price in this region is $80k which is much more than what u guys pay

Why don't you just buy from another region, not a big deal really...

Man that's outrageous! Mine's loaded except for the radar cruise control thing but I don't think that's worth $20k more! You could buy one somewhere else and have it shipped and definately save $15-$20k.

Thanks for the help sexylexus,

I would do that but then my local dealership will refuse to cover it with warranty, I've already asked them and they straight out told me we won't accept your warranty and it'll be void

Get that in writing and forward to Lexus Global and see what they have to say on the matter of the dealer refusing to honour warranty unless bought from them.

That's totally incorrect and so wrong in so many ways. Like stated above, call Lexus Corp just to verify(piece of mind) and see what they have to day about that.

I dont know where the OP is from but its the same here in Dubai. You can't import a car and have warranty on it. If you want warranty you have to buy it from the dealer in UAE. Even if I buy a car from a neighboring country (like Oman) in the same region my warranty will be void with the dealer here. People do buy cars from Oman cause they are $3-4k less than here, and they get warranties from a service center here that services mostly Lexus and Toyota, but its still not a dealer warranty.

Default Release Date

So has anyone ordered a 2013 IS-F?

Or are they going to skip the 2013. And go right to the 2014 next generation like the new GS?
