do you have his location and contact info?

my mechanic quoted me $130 and he's only about 10 miles from my house.

Why not try installing it yourself? Should only take a little over an hour or two to remove and install the new cat back. Or try calling your local exhaust shop...they could probably do it quicker and cheaper since thats what they do all day long

Its like 12 bolts. But it would suck doing it without a hoist.

Any DIY for the IS-F on this forum ? I remember seeing one awhile back and it had stuff from the IS FAQ/DIY thread. It would help guys like the OP or anyone else that wouldnt mind getting their hands dirty... But to save money and gain experience on our cars I do it myself... I like to think of myself, not as a backyard mechanic, but a parts replacement specialist LOL, GL on the exhaust install and hope you get a good deal for getting it done, dont forget to post pics and vids for others, thanks bro !

Its a simple installation DYI but if u dont have a lift there's no chance. Not to mention the right tool for o2 sensor.

I would probably do it at the shop closer to your house. Hauling your old exhaust system back from Tommy's shop may be a pain depending on where you live. It was for me. I left mine at Tommy's for a couple weeks before I started receiving calls that if I didn't show up it would be thrown away. Ended up renting a truck to haul it back home to WLA. It is what it is though.

thanks everyone for your responses. yes, hauling the OEM system back was also a concern. i figured i could bring back half then grab the other half the next time i was in that area.

damn, some of you guys got great deals! haha
