Hi Guys,

Just in the process of ordering some new rims and need some advice from the tire experts. Especially those running Michelin Pilot super sport.

The rim sizes are FR 19x9 ET38 and RR 19x10.5 ET52. The tire sizes that I have been recommend are FR 245/35/19 and RR 285/30/19. The issue I'm having is that Im really keen on a set of Michelin Pilot Super Sport, whilst the front is not an issue the super sports are not available in 285/30/19.

So my options are either drop down to 275/30 or upsize to 295/30 in the rear. Keeping in mind I'm lowered on KW's and my guards are just rolled. Do you think I'll be pushing my luck trying to get 295 with the Michelin brand of tires?

My last option is to get another brand of tires like a set of Hankook V12 in the recommend 285/30.

I'd wait for someone who knows "for sure" to chime in before ordering, but I am pretty sure you will be okay with those offsets with 295/30R19 tires. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...it-my-car.html The guy in this thread is lowered and says he is clearing 295mm rears with no fender modifications running a 20x11 +52 rear wheel. If that is the case you should have no trouble with 295mm on a 19x10.5 +52 rear wheel. I would recommend running a 255/35R19 front tire, which should fit as well. 255/35R19 and 295/30R19 tires are the only combination I know of that are virtually the same diameter as the stock tires, which maintains the most accurate speedometer, odometer and electronic nanny systems precision. If for some reason 255/35R19 tires rub in the front (which I don't think they will) it should be easily remedied with minor fender mods.

Just keep in mind that +52 on a 10.5" rim is not the same offset as +52 on an 11" wheel.

Yes, I could have explained that a bit better. Both have the same offset, but the .5" wider wheel will be approximately 10mm closer to the inside of the wheelweel and 10mm more aggressive (stuck out) at the fender. That was my purpose of writing that if a 11" +52 wheel fits a 295mm tire with no fender mods then a 10.5" +52 wheel will definitely fit a 295mm tire (same height) as long as the KWs don't stick out more on the inside and cause rubbing (I wouldn't think so, but ???)

I'm curious to know what type of tire brand that owner with the 11" rims was running. I guess my main concern is not all tire walls are the same. If the Michelins have a thicker side wall I may be in trouble..... I'll pm him and check.

Hopefully some Michelin owners may be able to chime in here ...

I was going to say what Gymkata said. If the other member can fit a 295 in the rear with his offsets and no fender mods, I think you should fit any 295 tire because your offsets are less aggressive (-0.5 in) and your fenders are rolled.

Hey dude I pm''d u back I would think a 295/30/19 u should be fine check the nitto invo tire size charts but if ur set on the michelins u should be just fine

Thanks bud much appreciated.

I've compared the specs (tread width) from the Nitto against the Michelins. Both appear to be at 11.5 inches so that gives me confidence to go with the 295.
