Me too.. I am disappointed, especially paying a premium for the burnt tips. 1 out of my 4 has held up well.

Mine got kind of tarnished over the winter. I used mother's polish to clean them up, but on most of the tips' burnt look was faded and lost. A couple of my tips only have a patch of the burnt color swirl left. I got most of the tarnishy rust look off, but now its just like regular stainless tips that had a little burn.

They are hand done and really not as dramatic as people expect them to be. I think we are going to discontinue the option.

CaptAwsm: If they get to the point where the color is not there just use a Mothers Power Ball and Mothers Stainless Polish and you can make them look like new.

ERDoc74 they look great in pictures because your looking at a part close up. The problem is when you look at it from a distance. They tend to look faded from a distance.

We have done a couple finish options on the tips and honestly we don't release them because we don't feel comfortable selling them. The titanium burn was the closest one to looking good but the inconsistency makes it hard to satisfy customers.

The polished stainless tips are the way to go with the exhaust! Everyone that has them has been completely satisfied.

I just went to auto zone to pick up the smaller power ball. Should work perfect with the tips. They already are shined up pretty well. My prob is the burnt effect has faded, looks like it was rubbed off in a lot of places. They looked good when I first got them, completely covered the ends of the tips with the flamed effect. But now its patchy, some of the tip looks like shiny stainless tips with a half dollar sized patch of the flamed coloration thrown in.

CaptAwsm - when did you get your exhaust?

I was glad when I opened my box that the tips weren't burnt and only polished.

I got it on in Nov. I paid a couple 100 extra to get the burnt tips. Like ISS was saying above, the TI styled tips dont really stand out too much from a distance, you notice them up close. However, the burnt look still looked pretty sweet when I got them, I hope some heavy polishing can get the color blend back a little better..

im just disappointed with the fact that i paid like 3/400 extra and waited 2 months longer and then after 1/2 weeks of driving it looks terrible like its tarnished/rusted or something...

i mean they look good the first day i got them...question...is it real titanium? if so wouldnt a blow torch bring the color back

I believe all tips are stainless steel, but torched for the "burnt titanium" look.

^ correct... if your tips is true titanium, you wouldn't have this problem. At lease from all my previous exhaust
