Default Random Technology high-flow cats

I'm looking for a good set of high flow cats to be installed with headers and hear the Random Technology cats are the way to go. Any idea what size we will need?
Thanks in advance.

There have been people on here stating they have had issues with them from occasional track days. Also, someone that had factual information mentioned you will not flow more than the stock cats with those. You may want to search some of those topics as my take on swapping the originals out for them will only see your money fly out the window with no gain. Best to just eliminate or keep the stock cats.

I've seen a few reports of the Random Tech's failing under severe stress such as hot track days. A few others have the magnaflow cats of which have yet to see any bad reports on them.

Best bet is to go catless if you don't want to worry about them failing.

Default Cats

Why not just have the post cats Flanged back into your system? You already have them and we are fairly sure they can take the heat. I for one have NEVER seen an aftermarket cat that was as good as a factory cat is.

I have the Joez/Sikky setup, just go cat-less... less money and troubles. Its not as loud as you may think.

Hey guys.
We are about to get the PPEs here in Aussie, and while I'm running the JoeZ, i was going to run a set of Cats.. so i wanna know...

1. I assume running Cats with my set up will affect my RWHP, but by how much ?
2. Would it affect the resale of my JoeZ if i Fitted the cats to my JoeZ...?
3. How much increase in RWHP on average could i expect fitting the PPEs, with no cats.?

I know a few of you are running no cats, so my last question is directed at you .!

Thanks so much guys.

answers:
1. around 10 rwhp
2. maybe, mabye not... depends if buyer wants cats or not.... (would save him/her cost of cats and install if they do.... would cost him/her money to remove and put straight pipe in if they don't)
3. around 40 rwhp

I've posted this graph before. My car with custom frabicated dual exhaust with stock mufflers and MagnaFlow HiFlow cats. The second car has PPE, no cats and a Joe Z. I'm 386+ HP. he's 399+ HP. So, he's about 13 more HP than me. Maybe 10 because of the cats, the other 3 because of the JoeZ. Note really sure, but as you can see his power advantage over me doesn't come on until 5200 RPM. BTW, I dynode at 354+ before my headers, but with a slightly different modified exhaust. So I'm up 32HP give or take since my first Dyno run.

Now my dynos were run at different times on the same dyno with the same operator. The JoeZ car and my car were run the same day.

As far as resale, mods usually negatively affect the resale value of an automobile. I did not do any of my mods thinking about resale value, if that bothers you, leave your car stock. BTW, my last car a G35 coupe was also modified and my mods (Wheels, headers, cats, exhaust, and intake) did not affect it's resale value, but that's an isolated case.

Hope this helps ya.
