Carmax appraised my car.....thoughts?
I am selling my 2008 IS-F, White w/Black interior, Excellent Condition, w/33k miles. I took it to Carmax and they offered me $37k. I see all the discussions on how Carmax sucks, but feel this was a pretty decent offer. Am I wrong?

it's all compromises. you go to dealership and the price probably sucks even more. you can sell privately and likely to get a few g's more, but you have to deal with the hassle of advertising, random people checking out the car, test drives, money transaction, etc... some people think it's worth it, some people rather save that hassle

i think their offer is pretty good. of course we don't know the condition of your car, exterior and interior.
i had my g35 appraised by carmax and they offered me $7k bc of all my mods. they told me, 'put it back to oem and we'll give you more for it.' i'm getting offers from private sales for about $9,500 but more offers for me to part out. so, i might go that route and go back to carmax to save the hassle of taking care of all the dmv stuff myself.
having purchased my F via carmax, too, i think their margins are small. and all of their sales associates make the same amount of commission regardless of the price of the vehicle. so they say...
sorry for the tangent.
