Probably, but it wasn't done for cost reasons. I have heard and seen and driven a car with the JoeZ exhaust. The workmanship is superb, but for me, it was just too loud and the drone was something I just couldn't live with. Again, IMHO, the JoeZ system is a work of art, but it's just not for me. We all make choices, and again, for me, I made the correct one. My system wasn't cheap by any means, remember it includes headers, aftermarket cats, new resonators, the "X" pipe and the exhaust work.

If you are interested in a system like mine without cats, be sure you find a good exhaust shop with the capability to mandrel bend and the ability to modify the mufflers properly.

Not anymore. My car went up to PPE yesterday, to be fitted with their new Dual-Mode muffler exhaust system.

Hi Lou, could you share any more details on that system? Thanks!

Anyhow I've had it with the drone with the Borla with the addition of the headers! I think I might be going back to the stock exhaust for my sanity

Just trying to figure out how much power I will lose going back to the stock exhaust? I'm assuming the majority of the gains with the exhaust system are losing/getting rid of the stock manifolds with the primary cats account for maybe 90% of the power gained?

So once again I would be FBO minus the stock exhaust (secondary cats/mufflers)..............

What do you guys think??? I really don't want to give up any power but the drone is beyond annoying and maybe I'm just getting older lol
if you install cats the exhaust tone will go down a bit. I'm actually surprised you find the header/Borla setup too much for you. It's the quietest setup i've come across with very tolerable "drone" levels.

EDIT: Forgot I had laid some sound deading material down awhile back. That could be why I'm good with the sound. I added this because the SIKKY/JOEZ combo was TOO much for me. I added this material and it was more tolerable and then with the change to Borla it was perfect.

Don't want to have the same response in two different threads so I'm going to answer the above in this thread because I responded to this one by mistake: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...exhaust-3.html

theres only so much you can develop for the ISF, and the production numbers are fairly small to begin with. With the release of other newer Lexus vehicles, he has another market to work on.
