Exclamation

I just realized what the problem was.....

The Orange Cones should have NEVER been placed on top of the side walk bumps...
The concrete bumps end up blending in with the road from that kind of angle..

So the driver lines his tires up to be next to the cones..
BUT, the Concrete bumps buldge OUT past the cone base, which allows front tire to collide with it..

Next thing you know, is that your race spec IS-F is airborne..!!!

Track Prepping error in my opinion...!!!

But Joe, shouldn't the drivers walk the course first? May be this poor fellow was a noob. It looks like a mistake I would make!

I would have to agree with Joe Z on this one. I honestly didnt see that he got that close to the cones. Honest mistake if you only see top of the cone.

I think the driver didnt realize that he got that close and just nailed the first one and after that it was like dominos

There's really NO other logical explanation ...

These guys are indeed pro drivers, but when the concrete blends with the road... Crap like this happens..!!

The cones should have been placed in front of the bumps.. NOT ON TOP of them..

The below video explains why this IS-F looked very HEAVY while they were pushing it backwards..

Lightbulb

It's also very clear that the Gazoo Racing IS-F was never intended or properly setup for drifting..

Here are a few videos of the demo runs it made before it crashed..

LEXUS IS-F CCS-R Nürburgring 24 race version Demonstration Run at TokyoAutoSalon 2012.
This car will be entry Nürburgring 24h race 2012.
Driver is Akira Iida. He is test driver of LF-A.
He lunge to president Akio Toyota at 1:30.

From the earlier videos when they were trying to get the car OFF the pylons, 1 of the rescuers lifted a pylon out of the concrete. You think they would have removed those first and place the cones over the hole .......another EPIC FAIL

Correct

He lines up his wheels with the cones thinking it was a line of cones. The Bump were in line with the cones which should have not been.

Hope they dont put the bumps back there... would suck if a drifting car was to hit it while drifting.
