Default Carbon Fiber wrap on Front Bumper?

Does anybody have this on their F? I'm wondering what it will look like on an obsidian F. Can somebody photoshop it maybe? I'm looking to just do the front bumper - the whole front bumper.

just because you can, doesn't mean you should. With that being said, i would strongly advise you not too, but it is your car, to each its own.

Here is an isx50 that was fully wrapped in carbon

^^^Right. But I'm tired of rock chips on the front bumper. It is chipped like crazy after not even two years. I don't want to get it resprayed every two years. Plus, I don't like clear masks because they start looking bad after a year or two as well. I thought vinyl wrap might be the way to go for a permanent solution. I thought it might not show the rock chips as much or at all. Thanks for the pic. That helps me picture it a little better.

Do you like the CF look? Because I think there are a few brands that you could do a black wrap, just like how some do the roof. But I too am getting a bit worrisome of the amount of rock chips around the front of my car. It looks a lot worse on Obsidian, but still, it nags me from time to time. I am really thinking about the FrostBite wrap that Aerotect offers.

I bought my 2010 with the clear wrap already on, I am assuming it was put on by the original owner when he bought it. It looks great still, I can see where it absorbed some big rock chips, no color fade or peeling. The bumper looks great. It goes up about a foot and a half on the hood, and sometimes you can notice that line.. but the bumper, you cant tell at all that it has a bra.

IMO that CF looks terrible on the bumper. Itd be one thing to wrap the roof or mirrors.. but not the bumper.

There are numerous films out there as far as clear bras go. If you get a good film it will last you many years and will take a lot of abuse in the process. Vinyl on the other hand is for looks only and will tear very easily. I install both and would never recommend using vinyl for protection... it is for appearance only. Clear bras are made to take a lot of damage. Go with Ventureshield Ultra of Avery Nano fusion and you will be fine. And besides wrapping just the bumper in carbon fiber would look a little silly.

I recommend getting a clear bra. I had the front end and hood covered on my '02 IS300 for more than six years and it never peeled, faded, yellowed, or got hazy.

Yeah, I'm agreeing with everyone. I had an XPEL clear bra on my previous IS350 (both hood and bumper). It was pretty good. I should have got one put on my F too. The dealer had done the front portion of the F's hood, so I thought that would be good enough. But it wasn't

I think my best option is to have the front bumper re-sprayed, and then have it clear masked right afterwards.

For a few more months, I'll probably keep hiding the nicks and chips with that black wax and detail spray from Turtle Wax. It helps some.

Thanks everyone!
