Default Tire size on stock 09 rims?

Hi!

I am a new and very happy owner of a 09 ISF.... I used to own a 05 M5, but the ISF is superior in so many ways

The tires on my car are soon worn out and I am curious about what size can be used on the 09 rims? From what I´ve seen here 265/35 is no problem? What about 275/30, will that work too without any kind of adjustments?

What about the front tires? Is 235/35 the most reasonable upgrade?

From what I´ve seen a lot of ppl like the PS2 tires? Is it the general opinion that those tires are the best choice if u are not going to use the car on track, but like driving fast

There is a lot of information about this out there and you could hit the search button and type in what you are looking for and you should find all your answers.

245/35/19 front
275/30/19 rear

They fit great and are within spec for the wheel width.

The new Michelin PSS is better than PS2, also cheaper.

Of course it is all a matter of preference but some of us went with 285 on the rears which is almost the same diameter as stock rears which in my personal opinion is a very good choice.

IMO I'd stick with stock sizes with the PSS's. I'd run the bigger tires on wider rims.
Buuuut to answer your question you can run 245/275 no prob

As DCoolBeans and rhy said, 245/275 is a common combo run by many F owners. I know a couple who run 285 on the rear on a stock 9" rim, and they have no complaints or worries about it.

Thanks for all replies!

What is the reason you would not choose wider tires on the stock rims? Any issues?

From everything I have read, 245/35R19 and 275/30R19 PSS tires are probably about the best combo you could put on the stock rims.

No real issues I suppose but just my preference. Those sizes are the widest you can go recommended buy specs. I'd rather have those sizes on a rim that was .5 or 1" wider than stock so the tire wouldn't bulge and fill out the rim better. Better placement from tire to road
