Hey guys was wondering if any of you other guys with 2011+ LED style headlights have turned them in for warranty because of this below.....




Basically looks like the lens has melted the black matte tape and part of the chrome trim ring.... thinking sunlight hits the lens and makes a magnifying type of issue where it melts this...

Do the dealerships warrant this and replace the entire headlight? Its not a huge deal to me but still something that is annoying.

Yup , check the warranty call a few lexus dealerships , all 2011 have those issues. Hopefully they can replace for you 2012 which is brighter LED and whiter not yellowish like 2011

i have an appointment tomorrow with Lexus in Van Nuys we will see what they say

Yes, I had mine replaced with the 2012 lights on my 2011 car.

Can you confirm they are whiter than the 2011's LED's?

Thanks guys took the car to the dealership today they are replacing both lights, I also had a nasty crackling sound coming from the cluster bezel/dash areas and they were going to fix that and also two recall items the windshield wiper bolt and emergency trunk release latch.

So it all worked out ok and now I am driving a 2013 Lexus RX 350 lol its so different from my F.

I will hopefully have the car back Friday and see if there is a difference in the LED color output... I really didnt mind the 2011 color but hey ill take the newer ones

all the service guys came out at once when i pulled up to the dealership to stare and gawk over my car lol made me feel good... just hoping they dont put a ton of miles on it lol
