Repainting my 20's - Blacking them out!
Ok here is the deal, due to something that was bugging me about my wheels, i decided to change the "scheme" of them. The outer "ring" is 1/4" from the outside edge and it sort of gives the optical illusion that my wheels are smaller then they are. Its hard to explain if you dont see what im talking about.....but anyway, i dont hate it, it just bugged me. Also, i really liked the idea of the black with exposed aluminum combo that i currently have, but i had some guys on my website forum photoshop me up a few options.....and i made up my mind.
I decided to send them back in for paint. Right now im rolling on my stock wheels for a week or 2. I will update when they are done. Everything will be black except for the center AZA logo which will be black with the logo machined out. That will eventually be a lexus L, as he said he could make those up for me later.

again, just a photoshopped version of what it should look like. I had the guys whip me up a rim with a blue stripe on the outside edge and it looked ok......but i dig the all black much better. The blue calipers should REALLY pop behind them!

me too!! i know it SEEMS like a boring choice, but to me it makes the car look more "menacing"....like EVIL. Its a very expensive 3 piece wheel so even if its less "flashy" with all black, i think i will like it more. I hope they turn out as good as the photoshop lol. Also, he is modding the rear dish to get me 1/4" more lip which is always nice. I might have to roll my fenders. Anyone know where i can get some good info on rolling my "F" fenders, if need be when they come back?

The 2 places I would recommend if you're in So Cal are Pit Crew Motorsports in San Gabriel ask for James or Evasive Motorsports in City of Industry/ La Puente.

It would be easier and wiser to shave the inside of the fenders. There is not a lot of material to roll the fenders in the rear. Where are you located in CA?

if you think shaving them is better, mind sharing a thread or link to someone who has done it?

Deleting the stripe on the outside really helped and now i think the 20's are perfect! Again, that is, if they look this good in real life when done
thanks!
