HP+ are good for track/Auto X events, but not really great for DD (too noise)...

HPS are good for DD but IMO they are not as good as OEM ones.

I always used Ferodo DS2500 paired with DBA4000/DBA5000 rotors for DD/Track mixed on my used cars and like the results.

A buddy has the HP+ on his car and you can hear the brakes from a mile away.

The ONLY reasons to buy these are: they are cheaper than OEM and or they happen to be the only pads available to you when you needed a brake job. They do not stop very well compared to OEM or PMU pads and do not offer good initial bite when the brakes are applied.

If you don't want to buy the OEM pads or the PMU pads then the Stoptech pads are probably a better option and they are offered in a front and rear compound. When last I checked Hawk didn't offer rear pads for the IS F.

my brother has it on his Prelude with corvette brakes... its loud, super dusty, eats up rotors like no tomorrow, and its loud and super dusty.

Bites really hard according to him.

oh and SUPER SUPER dusty.. and dont forget it SQUEEELS like a pig.

SUPER DUSTY..

Dust that you gotta take care for and try not to get it wet cuz itll stick on your wheels and start to rust.

Newly updated stock pads (which has much less dusts than original). Perfect fitment and well capable of track duty.

So the HP+=no bueno? I liked them on my STI as far as performance went, but the brake dust sucked.
I am doing research into pads right now and I wanted to get Hawk's ceramic as the car is DD'd and never tracked but I guess some saying those aren't good either + Hawk still doesn't rear options smh.
I guess it's either stoptech or bobcats 1521's. I like stoptech's rotors, don't know squat about their brake pads, or carbotech at all for that matter. I wish I was a baller and could get PMU pads.

I have had them on my car for three days and have been using them a bit. Initial bite is a tad soft but if you brake set a little deeper into your brake pedal it bites harder than a stock pad would. In the more extreme; if you brake set 75-80% you seem to stop much better that stock. Already can tell dust is bad & they make little peeps at super slow speeds sometimes. Noise is not that bad at all, I keep thinking its cars around me its so light. Im going to my last road course event in 3 weeks and Il give them full beating and report back.

I kinda like them daily/maybe as a track pad. These are my third set of front pads in 30k.

When these pads and or rotors go Im going to by fresh rotors a full set of bobcats & XP12 front/XP10 rear for daily then track... should make rotors and pads last much longer without warping rotors. My current rotors are warped a little from using pads with to low a temp range on the track.
