Default Joez exhaust/intake = no gains :(

Do not intend to bash the product in any way.. but just stating the facts. After installing the exhaust/intake, we raced a stock isf and were shocked that the stock won. So we went ahead and dynoed the car again.. I think i remember another person who had a similar issue. Guess we are the unlucky ones.

Friend is just frustrated and thinking of getting an ISS exhaust

Wow. That's weird considering the A/Rs seem to be on point.

Thats weird. I can't think of anything that could go wrong with piping to cause less gains other then the install.

Goodluck, and be patient. I'm sure it will be resolved.

I didnt pick up much from my Joe Z exhaust install. I did the Stock dyno and then the install and after dyno a few hours apart. I picked up maybe 5whp. Ive driven well over 2000 miles since then, so Id be curious to see where my new baseline is if its changed. They say that the computer will re-learn the added airflow and increase power over time...who knows. My butt dyno feels gains, but its been wrong before.

I have headers and intake at home in boxes waiting for re dyno and installs, just have to find time.

With all do respect I have had great dealings with JoeZ. I purchased my IS-F from a private seller this year and he reported back the same findings so he had the exhaust and intake removed. He was actually a CL memeber come to think of it. His dynos also found the same thing your dyno is representing.

if one exhaust didn't give you any gain. another exhaust isnt magically going to give you anything. i dont know if you did something wrong somehow, but thats weird.

You wouldnt see gains untill 4-5 drive cycles so if you just dropped it on a dyno right after you put the exhaust on you didnt give your ECU time to learn and adjust to your mods. It took 5-6 drive cycles on the dyno to get the gains from my headers and exhaust. Not dyno pulls, full drive cycles. Joe Z products are quality.

if you have any check engine lights for any reason, you aren't going to see any gains at all.

First your dyno runs should be corrected to SAE. Hard to tell but it appears the stock run was done in cooler temps hence the results.

As for racing your friend...he won because of a few things. Driver skill and weight of car being the primary two.

Its weird that you did not see any gains. But also an exhaust isn't really enough to beat a stock IS-F.
