So the space in the front wheel well is killing me. Not to mention the harsh ride can take it's toll after some time. I drive my car in Alaska during the summers and SoCal during the winters. I was considering dropping the front with a set of Teins or Eibachs. However, I am also thinking of getting some height adjustable coilovers (like the D2 Racing Sports). Thoughts and feedback from owners of these products? I have stock wheels and stock size PS2s. If someone has a front only drop with this set-up it would be great to see!

Coils are expensive! With that being said I would probably go with KW v3 if you're going to buy coilovers for your IS-F.

I would also check out this page if you consider springs. I'm not sure how much the shocks cost him but apparently it drastically increased the ride quality when switching to the new 11' springs and an Eibach Pro-kit.

just my opinion though. If your gonna spend $ atleast do it right. Its a 40k+ car afterall

I think the Eibachs are like .7 up front and .3 in the rear.

So it's somewhat of a drop! Coilovers are not right for everyone and not everyone wants to go that much lower.

Hey buddy! I have Tein CST coilovers, and they make driving on roads much more bearable. The drop is just right, and the road doesn't feel like it's overbearing when you drive. KW V3 has also been mentioned, and I've also heard many great reviews on that product. But Cali to Alaska...wow!

I am only dropped on the front with Eibachs. Now the front and rear have the about same wheel well. Handling it a bit better. I have had no problems at all. Just make sure you get an alignment after putting a few hundred miles on the springs. This goes the same for coils.

Thanks all for the info. Part of the reason this forum is so great. If I get height adjustable coilovers can't I adjust how much the drop is and how stiff the ride is? Sorry, im a newb at this. On a side note I'm waiting to hear back on getting an s4play diffuser!

^^ I don't know why they would be called height adjustable if you couldn't adjust the height.

BC are nice too, im thinking of getting a set. Is the only difference between and 08 and 2011 the springs or are the shocks different too?

The 2011 has new shocks which you can apparently adjust. Check out the link earlier in the thread.

You mean the Aftermarket "Tokico HTS dampers" ???

They also have a montube design just like OEM and are indeed adjustable for dampening only..

BUT - None of the 2008-2011 OEM IS-F Shocks (aka dampers) are adjustable for dampening.

"Height Adjustable" indeed means you can set your ride height.
