Getting new exhaust installed today?
#2
I don't have my stock system off of the car yet, but once I get the Joe Z installed in the next week or so, I'm planning on storing the exhaust in the attic above my garage. It's always nice to the have the option to go back to the stock set-up.

I'd keep it. Much easier to go back to stock if you sell or trade the car. Also much easier to sell a joeZ exhaust than a stock exhaust. Always keep your oem parts. I learned that the hard way several times.

Just had my Joe Z installed thursday.....came a day earlier then expected whoo hoo!!! but yes I stored my stock exhaust in the shed. It's always good to keep the stock parts I think. Enjoy, as everyone who has stated before (who have the Z exhaust) you will not be disappointed. As it breaks in more, it sounds even better, if that's even possible.

I also store my OEM exhaust in the garage. I'm more worried about future smog checks and possible visual tests in CA. Maybe it's the paranoia in me, but better to be safe and have the factory one, even if it doesn't get used after purchasing an aftermarket exhaust. Joe Z is still WIN!

My stock exhaust was cut to pieces and is but a faint memory My present dual system still uses my stock mufflers and the flange just aft of my headers. I still have the one stock resonator sitting on my garage shelf as well as the stock manifolds with the primary cats. The rest has been scattered to the wind.

Congrats on all the recent installs..!!!
Personally, I would keep the OEM system.
In my case, if I ever have to sell or SMOG test my F, it's a quick 30 minute swap on the lift.
Mine is stored above my garage.
