looks like a good car cover, but it doesnt seem to have the pockets for the mirrors and possibly the sharkfin. i personally have the introtech cover which is the manufacture for the lexus acc. cover, just without the lexus logo in the front and half the price. it fits snug and with the straps on it will stay on under high wind situations. it isnt 100% waterproof, but it doesnt soak the car just a little wet even under heavy rain. overall i'm happy with cover.

I ended up going with the Ultrashield cover from CarsCover.com, since it is 100% waterproof. Took me a few mins to put on. I will try to post pics of the car covered in the evening.

EDIT: car is in the shop. will take pics when it's out

Default car cover

I just bought an "el cheapo" car cover for $49.95 off of e-bay. It has the mirror pockets, and is described as "semi custom fit". I must say it fits my IS-F pretty well and performed exactly as advertised in the light rain we had last week. So far, so good!

The cover took me literally 3 minutes to put on tonight. I usually fold my mirrors in, and it fits very snug around the entire car, covering both bumpers completely as well as most of the wheels and sideskirts. Also has a buckle that runs underneath the car and snaps in on the other side, for windy conditions. It's completely waterproof and has been through heavy rain already.

I have a California car cover that I have been using for 10 years now and it is holding up great. I went with a locking one because I used to have to park my honda outside. It has held up great but that is the extent of my car cover knowledge. I do like the ones that have mirror pockets, as mine does. It always made it easier to hook a mirror and then work your way around the car and it stays in place. With out them it was easy to get the cover on crooked.

the introtech cover comes with the weather straps and a cable and lock to secure the cover, i agree the mirror pockets are a plus to put on the cover.

Default Car Cover Needed

All,

Looking for help in finding a good quality car cover. Car will sit outside for 6 months. The problem is, I am in Germany and car covers must have a window for the front and rear license plates and the plates are wider than US plates.

Anyone please??

The OEM is top quality, but it has one plate window here in the States, maybe you can try your Lexus dealer there in Germany. GL

Agreed. Perhaps you can customize a US one. Shouldn't be that hard to mock up cut and have a sewn in plastic piece to leave the license plate showing.
