I remember that on my old 4.2L S4 with auto tranny downpipe install was like 6 hours.
Any recommended installers in NJ? I've read that someone went to AFterFX in Stamford, CT (which is 45 minutes away from me), however a closer place for maintenance purposes would be better.
A few tri-state owners have gone to Bulldog Motorsports in Clifton NJ with good results.

I think we figured out what was causing my codes. On the o2 sensor wire extenders part of it was rubbing the header so when it would get hot it melted straight through

Hey HighLow I had my PPE installed at AfterFX in CT great shop they nothing but highend work and I mean highend Lambos, Bentley GT, Porsche, Ferrari,McClarrens etc that being said they are not cheap but the work is impeccable. I also now have connection with Lexus of Larchmont, NY Ray Catena, I spoke to service Manager he use to work at Lexus of Greenwich but now work for Lexus of Larchmont and at that location they will install headers with no problem. I know head mechanic Walter and he does great work very knowledgeable guy into cars and is the only one that works on my F when I bring it to dealer. So if you want I can bring you to either shop let me know we can meet and I'll introduce you to them.

Yes unless you know someone who will fix the burned out regulator in the ECM.

You should check the voltages before you do anything though. The heater circuit has specific voltages associated with it when it is operating. If it's not applying power to the heater circuit, the ECM will set a DTC and the sensor will not work at all.

The ECU is pretty well protected internally against shorts like this. There is a fuse that controls the heater circuits which I am sure has blown. I am not sure on its location, but I would definitely check and replace next.

EFI 2 fuse is for the heater circuits on the secondary sensors. But there would be other issues, and it would not even start without a DTC if EFI 2 was dead. The main A/F also has a separate fuse.

I've seen the regulators die in other Toyota products. It's part of why I have a stack of Supra ECMs in my garage.

I dont know who to believe here. I respect both of their opinions. Once again my codes I got today were P0136, P0139 P0156 P0158. Some of which were pending.

Three years later and still enjoying the headers. Beside the exhaust any possible other goodies in the works?

Bump from the grave.......... did you ever find out what was causing the codes you got?? Was it what Lance had said or PPE? You never followed up with the solution?
