+1 I had this installed last weekend also along with a JBL monosub amp, a Rockford 360.2 Signal Processor and a JL 6 channel amp. I'll be deaf in a couple of weeks.

what's the best way to draw an audio signal for the amp? I feel like I need to get an aftermaket unit that connects to the HU to do that.

I purchased an Audio Control LC2i 2 channel line output convertor ($99 from Crutchfield) and tapped into the factory sub for the signal and the factory ML amp for the Remote On for the amp. The Audio Control unit says it has the ability to generate a remote on signal from some factory systems but our ML set up actually does not generate the “noise” needed to activate this feature. I had to tap a remote wire at the factory amp.

This unit has a great tuning ability and a line driver built in. There is a pretty cool video on their website and YouTube to demo the unit. I would recommend it without a hesitation.

I have the 4080 box as well, and highly recommend it. Excellent build quality! Here are a few pics of it from a post on my install thread: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/5682043-post9.html

Just WOW! That's all I got to say... simply incredible!

Btw guys... I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the audio integrations box since I already have a 10" sub and amp setup that should work well with it. I'll update you all once I get it installed which won't be for another few months due to work load and crappy weather here in Northern VA

Audio Control LC2i sounds like a excellent option, but I still need to figure out how to integrate a volume **** to control the sub from behind the wheel. Anyway, this topic is probably more suited for anther thread in the audio section.

Cheers,
Hans.

Here are some less than great pics of my installation. The sub enclosure from boxology.com:http://i992.photobucket.com/albums/a...e/IMG_3855.jpg
The sum amp under the front driver's seat (from the back): http://i992.photobucket.com/albums/a...e/IMG_3857.jpg
The 6 channel JL amp under the front passenger's seat (from the back):http://i992.photobucket.com/albums/a...e/IMG_3858.jpg
The sub amp controller mounted in the center console:http://i992.photobucket.com/albums/a...e/IMG_3859.jpg
The sub controller is a part of the Rockford 360.2 Signal Processor.
This system rocks!

Thanks! I'm just loving the sound system. I did enter a MECA sound quality competition in February, and came in 2nd in my class. Still needs some more tuning, overall it's been great.

Looks like you got the same IDQ sub as well

Glad you're enjoying the bump!

I bet DS2k won't go wrong with the Audio Integrations box - pics look pretty good. Here's another option for mounting the sub control ****, to the left side of the steering wheel, depending on what buttons you have there:

7No - what are you running off the 6 channel? Post more pics!

I'm friends with the designer and fabricator of the 4080 boxes and I can tell you they are worth every penny of you pay. They are no longer on the 4080 site b/c Nick and the guy he was using to sell the boxes parted ways. If you want, I can let Nick know you are interested in purchasing one of his boxes if you do decide to go with the 4080. Michael
