Still a rumor. Plus that red IS looks a lot like the current model except for the grill.

Won't happen. TMC has already been very clear on that matter the LF-A engine will not be used on any other vehicle.
The GS-F is more likely to have the same V8 as the IS-F but with a supercharger like the Lotus Esprit was supposed to get.
This will be similar to what AMG does between the C and E class

One Lexus master tech told me that they are working on a engine to get 550+ HP to compete with M5. I wish they aff LFA engine and raise the bar, but looks like what you are saying, add a supercharger to get the power to 550 HP (is the latest rumor).

I think they'd be way ahead to put the G heads on a Tundra short block...supercharging is great, but displacement rocks!

The 5.7 with the TRD (TVS) supercharger would be awesome. 550hp with reliability and a warranty. Hello Lexus, are you reading this?!

Looking at the dates, it was an April's fool. The announcement was supposed to happen 2 days ago and there is absolutely no mention of it on the Lexus Pressroom website

I didn't realize adding new wheels and an LSD constituted a "gen" classification......is the 2010+ really considered a 2nd gen IS-F? The chassis is the exact same is it not?

I think it's meant to refer to the IS gen rather than the F part. The next IS-F would be a version of the 3rd gen IS model, gets confusing as that would mean there never was a 1st gen IS-F going by that naming.

Quick Reply: Is there going to be a Gen3 IS-F in 2014/2015?
