Glad you're alive. Sorry to hear about the car. In the end it's just a car and can be replaced and remodded. You can't though. So there's a silver lining to this. I hope they had insurance, get a good PI lawyer and get paid. You'll be able to buy yourself a new IS-F with the settlement money.

ty for the words of encouragement everyone.
they did end up catching the drunk driver down the road, luckily a bystander chased him down until the police got there. as for me, when the accident happened all i could think about was the condition of the car but after looking at the pictures a day later, i feel really grateful i was able to walk away from this with minor injuries.
as for my next car, assuming i get somewhat in the ballpark i spent, i don't know if i can step into another F. its like losing someone you love, and falling for someone almost exactly the same. i think it may be time to hang up the sports car and get something more practical for the future like an RX or CT-H (in case my gf and i decide to start a family). she did promise me this will not be my last sports car.
its just sad to know i drove my dream car for about 6 months. thanks again for your words everyone

Wow, that's a pretty rough crash. Good thing you're alright. Like it's been stated before, the F can be replaced and redone, count the positives Good luck with everything and let us know if we can help in any way

I'm really sorry to hear that someone else's foolishness ruined your dream car. Looking at the pictures, you're extremely lucky to have walked away unscathed. Your car sure was a beauty, but I'm sure you'll love the next one (whenever you're ready for it) just as much.
