In the 20k miles range and I'm starting to feel my brakes getting weaker. What are some good options out there that's better than the stock ones?

i know some here are running the carbotech bobcats or hawk hps brake pads. i haven't heard bad results from either. i'm due for new brake pads soon, so i too am looking at which brake pads to go with. best of luck!

I was disgusted with the dusting off of the OEM pads and now I've got the Bobcats and couldn't be happier with them.

I'm down to the Hawk HPS performance pads and Carbotech Bobcats. According to the website, the Bobcats are not recommended for track use.

Any opinions?

I don't know about track use on the bobcats, but I've had mine a few weeks and I was just checking my tire pressure and WOW - there is so little dust it is amazing. (although anything seems light after the OEM pads)

I would not use the Bobcats on a road course. If you're just drag racing they'll be fine.

Also, Carbotech is updating their pads - there are some small issues they need to address, so I'd be a little patient before ordering them.

I upgraded to Hawk. I'm satisfied minus the loud squeel I have coming from them (Probably my fault during install, I didn't reinstall the stock shims since the Hawk's have their own, but now I think it may be better to install the stockers over the Hawk shims. Gonna correct this Wednesday and see if it helps with the noise). Other than that, the brakes stop fine and like everyone has said, they dust less. Got mine for a little over $200 off eBay. GL

i'm going to be putting on some hawk ceramics soon up front. hope they're somewhat like stock minus the dusting.

^^^ They are not. Sure there is no dust and for just casual driving they're fine, but if you drive hard and/or like to go to the track (and I'm talking about drag strip, not even road course) you'll notice that they fade quickly.

Carbotech's seem to be best for fit, and brake noise. If you want Track Pads... Carbotech XP8, XP10, XP12's are available for our cars as well. I used XP12 Fronts & XP8 rears at the track. Carbotech Bobcats for the street are a great alternative.

I just received my order of front and rear Bobcat pads. Did I make a mistake by ordering them? What kind of issues will I experience with the current iteration?
