yes, most "lowering spring" are linear while most coil over type suspension system uses progressive spring.
What make Swift one of the best spring is because their linear rate are very consistent through out the range. Consistent mean it's more predictable.
We actually dyno tested a SWIFT spring versus a lesser quality spring manufacturer and the differences are significant. I'll try to see if I can post they dyno sheet here.

The only other spring company that comes to mind that can compete with Swift's consistency is Hyperco. Eibach is good, but they're not as linear as the formers.
Another thing I love about Swift spring is their ability to achieve the same spring rate and length as their competitors, but with less windings. You can have more spring travel before coil binding.
Swift isn't your typical BS 'JDM' company like Tein that's for sure.

Hyperco and Swift the two top spring manufacturer. Both produce very consistent spring and both uses very lightweight material and production method.

Here is more info I cam across from some race dude, talking about the advantages of the Swift coilover spring. Or more in depth about the material. It seems like their are much more advantages than just the spring itself.

Have the spring rates and front/rear drop been confirmed? Since the top of the rear wheel well of the IS-F is lower than the top of the front wheel well, it seems to me that most of the drops associated with popular spring offerings do not take this into account. As a result, the front sidewall is more visible than the rear sidewall. I like my cars to show equal amounts of sidewall front to rear and, if that's not possible, I like the rear sidewalls to be a tad bit more in evidence than the fronts. I'm ready to pop for these springs as soon as I can receive such confimations. TIA.

Dennis Grant is a great guy also. In fact it was because of him that made me go out and buy some thrust bearings for my coilovers. Adjusting preload just got a hell lot easier!

Since I have leased my car I really want to get these swift springs but I am not sure when I turn in the car would I need to take off the spring and put back the OEM?
