In the video with just the rear section, you can hear it whistling both while reving in the parking lot and accelerating in the cul-de-sac. Not sure if it is a resonance in the exhaust or just the airflow through the defuser/tips but for 3k, that would get annoying. Other than that, it sounds amazing. The full system sounds even more amazing

Hi i just installed HKS SSM rear section and my ride doesn't sound loud as yours, maybe u have installed the mid pipe on? I just ordered the mid pipe and its gonna take about a week to get it, can't wait to install it. Never in my life i would imaging paying 2800$ for a rear section but its worth it. If u see the exhaust in person its pretty sick and light weight. For those who is wondering whats the cost for everything, get ready to spend 3900$ for mid and rear if u wanna go with the HKS SSM exhaust set up.

I've updated my initial post and compiled all of the pictures and videos of the exhaust so you don't have to read numerous pages to find what you're looking for.

Sorry this took so long to update but with work and life I seldom come on here .

What is going on with that back box design? Can you explain the thinking behind it?

The canisters/chambers utilize the Helmholtz resonance theory. Think of blowing over the top of bottle. The chambers depending on the sized and where their placed will eliminate certain sound frequencies low/high.

I run the full HKS SSM system with the middle resonator removed, replaced by a 3" e-cutout... it sounds unreal.
