Nice quality product, but I am worried about the weight of this unit. Looks heavy to me. I would rather gain power and lose weight at the same time. Someone needs to come out with a ti-exhaust option for are cars in a decent price range. I am sticking with cut secondary cats and mufflers until that happens.

Interested as well. I have virtually the entire HKS catalog on my Supras and HKS quality, fit and finish, reliability and durability are always top notch.

It's going to cost $2.2k for just an axle back? this deeply saddens me.

I will update this as time permits with data from the tests that HKS performed.

I will say that this is going to cost more than the other exhausts on the market. If you're looking for a $1600 exhaust look elsewhere. A few factors influence this, the Yen to U.S dollar ratio is not favorable for ANY Japanese company importing anything into the U.S, the fact that HKS manufactures this in Japan unlike some "Japanese" brands that manufacture theirs outside of Japan where labor is much cheaper. In addition the design of the mufflers and the associated piping which add complexity = higher cost to the manufacturing process.

I can however assure you that it sounds like nothing else offered for the IS F in the U.S market or probably anywhere. Only a select few will spend the money to buy it, guys like KJH fall into that category and probably weswork from the look of his Supra.

The HKS USA version will differ somewhat from what is pictured from Japan (the full Japanese market exhaust would give most on here a heart attack if they saw how much it cost).

Daryl,

Any apples to apples info on the power gains one should expect to realize with this exhaust? If such info exists at the moment, it would be nice to know if the axle back unit made the power or did it include the mid-pipe. TIA

Guys I'll be dropping off my car at HKS tomorrow for them to test fit, test decibel readings and dyno the final version of the exhaust that will be released in the US.

I'll be on a business trip for two weeks but once I get back, pick the car up and get the finalized data from HKS I'll be able to give accurate info on what HKS plans to release for the US market.
