Angry Multiple fix it tickets!

This morning, I was driving to drop my kid to the bus stop before heading to work, when a motorcycle cop stopped me at a traffic light, I was not going any fast nor revving it or anything; he wrote me 3 fix it tickets: front tint, front license plate and modified intake!

I can understand the front tint and front license plate, I am puzzled about the intake one, I have the Injen Intake , they are sold in California and do not come with a “For Off Road use only” disclaimer, but they do not carry a CARB exemption sticker or number ? What’s the deal ?

Also, any good tow hook license plate solution for the F ? (Rho-Plate, say it doesn't fit the IS-F)

Companies do not need to state disclaimers and they can sell them wherever. You need a carb exemption sticker (its why for the ISX50 people in California tend to choose the f-sport in cases like this)

that was cold, writing 3 tickets, and make me wonder how much of it was to fund the state coffer... hope you can take care of the tickets without too much pain.

I think if you send a request to Rho Plate off their web site they will make one for you.

wtf! three fix it tickets! cop mustve had his daily donuts today im sorry to hear that man! the front plate can be relatively hidden. one of the members here did something pretty creative:

as for the front tint, that could be signed off by an officer and thus wouldnt need to be taken off (hopefully). not sure about the intake and how to fix that. maybe stick on the stock and then re-install it again after its signed off. best of luck my friend!

He made me pop open the hood, I guess when people get busted for tint and front license plate it's 50/50 chances to find some after market parts under the hood...

He specifically said that I need to go to the "State referee certification" that I can't get just a officer to sign off; maybe because of the intake ?

Sucks man, I'd zip-tie the front license plate to the lower portion of the grille. That way you don't have to drill the bumper.

Andre- my friend with a G got 6 tickets. CHP said the following:
1) speeding
2) had a modified exhaust
3) tint was too dark to see into
4) had no front license plate
5) had no amber reflectors on the car
6) Falsified the make and model of the car by badging it "SKYLINE" instead of "INFINITI"
