Can anyone chime in on how the Project Mu compare to oem Brembo pads on the track ??

I don't want to sacrifice any performance at all but hate the dust from oem.

If you're going to use project mu get the club racer, the street pads won't hold up. I have them as my daily pad and the difference between them and the Carbotech is incredible. I would have felt very unsafe had I left them on for my track day

XP12s are awesome at the track. Terrible on the street - noisy and they slam you against the belts with even a very light touch on the brakes. The wife always hates the drive home from the track when I don't swap out my pads.

So I've been pricing pads/rotors all the way around for a month or so.

Speed freaks has the forum special for the Eco-Daily Driver with stop tech pads and centric rotors. Front set and rear set runs 580 with free shipping from what I'm seeing.

Auto anything has the exact same thing (except you have to individually add each item) for 537.69 with free shipping when using code (105915)

Just a heads up to anyone looking. Someone let me know if I missed a speed freaks discount somewhere

Around what mileage does the F need rotors replaced?

I never tracked the car; mixed driving (city at 70%, hwy at 30%), currently at 40k miles.
I did read a couple pages before that rotors can look like they need replacement but really don't need to be?

Doesn't matter how many miles, it only matters how you use brakes.

I have a motto - brakes are for the timid. My brakes last a very long time. You might have a different motto, so your brakes may not last as long as mine do.

Then call me terrified. I've got 6 front rotors, 2 rear rotors and 3 sets of pads in the lock up. I'm ready for a never ending track battle. I also just received the FIGs lower control arm bushings as well. They look A1.

I also have a motto: Brakes do the opposite of what your engine does. Anticipate, Anticipate. The speed you don't have to scrub off, means better gas mileage and longer lived brakes.

My brakes also last a long time, once I replace them with the pads of my choice. My pads are Ferodo DS2500, a Great compound IMHO.

I'm currently running Porterfield all around on OEM Brembo rotors. Absolutely love them... they do dust but not as much as jurid OEMs. They have a higher friction rating than Project mu NS pads. There is one thing though, the first time you apply when rolling out of the garage or coming to your first stop with these pads it seems you have to warm them up. After that I think are much better than OEM. Initial bite is there and definitely the stopping power. As long they keep making them for the ISF I'll ever go back to OEM pads again. Of course this is from a daily driving perspective never took the pads to the track. Bought my set from Speed Freaks.
