Lightbulb ANATOMY of an IS-F headlight "dissected"

Been working on this the past few days and thought some of you might want to see what the inners of an IS-F headlight looks like. It's absolutely HUGE in terms of size as Lexus packs pretty much every type of technology into these big housings.

The masking tape is to prevent scratches and dissipate heat in case you wondering....

Once opened up we're planning to smoke the turn signal pieces (x2 frosted) pieces) and the amber side lense. The entire chrome housing will be sand blasted, then prepped with primer and sprayed matte black. LED's will also be added and then it will be put back together.

It sure is much easier to upgrade all the LED's when the headlight is out of the car for sure

any questions welcome to PM me

enjoy
rick

You have any tips/tricks that would help getting the glass seperated from the housing?

We've done CF before in headlights and never liked the way they look. It really depends on the car and how intense/crazy the other mods are. If you are car is bone stock and you got CF headlights it looks odd IMO.

This set will not be getting any CF, we're keeping it clean. No strobes either The strobes are going into my s2000!
