it is partly for fun and partly for performance. i enjoy working on my car, so a little project like this is partly a hobby. on the other hand, i have done a few mods to shave some weight and so far have lightened the car by over 80 lbs. a few lbs here is insignificant, but a few lbs in multiple areas add up very quickly.
true, my car is only marginally faster than an unmodified F, but weight loss also saves gas and improve handling slightly and just make the car more enjoyable to drive.

Default Just purchased IS F Short Ram Intake AFE/Takeda

I will let you guys know my 2 cents regarding the Intake. It's out of stock, but they should have mine built by Wednesday or delivery. Should get it in about 10 days. I will be calling my local dyno and see what the cost would be to run the test with and without. Also, may you tube before and after.

They did give me a dyno per their specs. See attachment.

Default It should be off per stock specs 333 of those horses and 318 lb-ft of torque

I have asked for clarification. The numbers for stock should be around 333 of those horses and 318 lb-ft of torque or even 358 rwhp and 338 rwtq which I found on the web. I will update when I get more info from AFE.

Shouldn't matter what the numbers say or represent. If this is on an IS-F then the before and after lines are what is important and hopefully done back to back so as to give a fairly good comparison.

So, what are you saying? The intake works per the numbers even though they look a great deal lower than stock? I'm new to doing a dyno analysis on a intake.

Yes, if that is on an ISF and its a before and after then that would be good graph to compare before and after showing there is a gain throughout the power band. But take into account this probably only represents a cold engine on early start-up as I'm sure they are going to game their product to show the greatest gains. I would suspect, real world driving where the temps are higher with a closed hood and less airflow would show less gains.

Any more information about this intake? Further dynos or comparisons? Thank you Lou and Mica for being the first to purchase and try this new intake out! You're reviews are extremely helpful

Dyno crossover point is not correct, can not trust that graph above.
Should be 5250 rpm, or the tuner is forceing that overlay in the software and can't be trusted.

I would definitely be interested in a group purchase for ths intake. The best price that I have found to date advertised is $349.00 shipped. Now if anyone could get JoeZ and PTS to agree to do a group purchase for the exhaust.... Hint, hint.... I missed out on the $1,299.00 special for the JoeZ exhaust a few months back, because I did not yet have my ISF.
