the rims are gonna be ridiculously rare. for those who do get the lf-a, i highly doubt that they'll swap em for aftermarkets, although some might to change up the look. but for those who want those rims, the best bet is to either ask lexus to see what the going rate would be or to wait for possibly a secondhand sale (highly unlikely)

first of all, given the limited production of lfa, i wonder if you actually need a vin number in order to buy any lfa parts. and at the same time, i highly doubt there will be any "attractive" employee pricing on these stuff at all

looking at the size of the lfa brakes and the materails, i probably think the price would be 20k easy (if not more), and then you have to look at all the bracket issues on mounting, etc...

That's characteristic of all disc-based brake systems (not just CCM) if you heat the discs up enough:

Yes.. thanks.. but I knew that as well…

Those are some “HOT” metal disc testing pics you posted.!!

If a metal disc rotor and pad where put through that kind of abuse repeatedly (in Real World conditions), the short & long term negative effects would be obvious. Especially, thermal integrity.

The characteristics of CCM rotors are unrivaled.

They will heat up and cool off rapidly like no other metal disc rotor.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the LFA “Bladed Inward” Wheel design, actually pulls AIR into the wheel and braking system to assist in cooling things off in extreme real world conditions..

I am happy to see the LFA use the CCM Brake Design.
It deserves no less..

Below is another CCM “Action Shot” from F1.

And another Super Car..

Disclosure: I never stated the "glow" was a bad thing or just on CCM brakes.. LoL
