Car must be started with brake pedal depressed and parking brake engaged. Then after the Nav/Main (not Lexus) screen comes up release/depress brake pedal 2x (hold depressed on 2nd time), release/engage parking brake 2x (should be engaged 2nd time), then release/depress brake pedal 2x (hold depressed on 2nd time). This will result in the VSC icon coming on. Hope this helps.

I see the difference, I did the same thing except that the whole pedal dance was right at the "L", and when it didn't work I tried it when the navi (streets) where ready on the screen. I'll try this once again.
BTW, do you have any cheat code for launch control? How did you find out about this trick?
Did we move April's fool to september? The "pedal dance" doesn't work, and I followed the instructions many times.
LoL Juan
It will work for sure.. It was the only way we could dyno the 2006 IS models..!!

Only when the Traction/VSC is left completely on. This is in conjunction with the flickering VSC icon.

Cool.. just wondering since I know you have tested the limitations...

Does not work for me. I suppose it's a possible consequence of having the DVD hack, which allows DVD video playback while the car is in motion. For that hack, one of the parking brake inputs on the back of the nav/entertainment console is grounded, to simulate that the car is not moving, thus permitting the video playback while driving. Maybe it's not seeing the parking brake 'release-apply-release-apply' dance.

Not sure if that would affect it or not. If it does not work the first time, you can repeat the entire sequence again right away w/out turning off the car and restarting it. It did take me a few times initially to get the hang of it.

I turned VSC off by holding the button for 5 seconds and while i was at the race tracks last month I was screeching tires around corners like crazy while throttle on and I did not see the VSC traction light flickering...hmmm

Practice makes perfect..!!
Worked for me on the 1st try, even though its been a couple of years since I had to do it.....
Interestingly enough, after doing the pedal dance and getting the Trac light on... I still held down the Trac button for 3 seconds and then got the "VSC off" light.. Press it again and the VSC light turns off.. BUT the "Trac" Light remains ON.
It will stay in this mode untill engine shut down / restarts is completed.
I had no means for testing wheel slip on the way home today
I took two camera phone pics to show the differences..
The 1st photo is Method 1 (pressing the button for 3 seconds) and the 2nd photo is Method 2 (pedal dance Only)
