How does it work? How do you lock the car?

So I'd have to get out of the car, turn around, reach for the handle, push the button to lock it? No thanks.

Seems like a really cool concept, but it will make my life more complex. I want to walk away and click the clicker in my pocket while putting on my coat, dialing the phone, etc.

so pressing a button in your pocket is easier than just grabbing the handle of your car? At least this way you can shut the door properly instead of getting your finger prints all over the side of the door or glass. I press the button all the time to lock my car. I just wish that it would shut of the lights if you pressed the button twice, like on the keyfob.

I can walk away, juggle bags of groceries in my hand, papers, cellphone, etc and push the button at my convenience. I often grab things from the passenger seat as I exit the vehicle.

This is 2009, the car should sense the credit card is out of the car when the door close and automatically lock immediately or in 5, 15, 30 seconds (set as personalized setting).

I agree,i wish the car automatically locked. But that might also be a PITA because sometimes you want to leave the car unlocked. I always press the lock button on the handle, then press the lock on the remote twice to be extra sure its locked

Anyone know the part number of the "F" card key?

I still want one because I use the door button all the time.

yeah exactly. I use the button everytime as well. I honestly wish I didn't have a fob at all. Digging around in my pockets is more work than pushing a button on the handle as I close the door. I am going to look into this credit card key next week when I go in for an oil change at dealership. Looks cool and should free up valuable pocket space.

Get your key programmed during your next oil change visit. This way, you are already there spending money and they can give you a discount. Otherwise the dealer may charge as much as $40. My service guy only charged me about $10 for the programing.

I use one on the LS, and I don't find it any different than the IS-F FOB. And I have never had problem with it not working in the rain or when it is near metal as I always have a full pocket full of metal keys and a mobile. It is my understanding that you can can have the sensitivity adjusted? Or was I imagining that?
