Its very simple, tell them that you know about the $5000 dealer cash for all 08 leftovers, then tell them what invoice is, which can be found at Edmunds.com If you cant find invoice for 08s then use invoice for 09s and keep in mind it is approx 2-300 more for the 09s so just deduct 2-300 for the 08s and tell them that they can keep sitting on their remaining 08s if they want to be stubborn about it. Remind them that the 2010s are gonna be out very soon and even their 09s are gonna be considered leftovers soon. Tell them there are many ppl on the Lexus forums paying $48,000 for it plus tax and tags. Just lowball them and start at $48k, play around with them at that figure, leave the dealership, and most likely before you walk out that door, they will try to sell it to you. Then, again work at $48k, play hardball with them. Fiddle around for a bit, see what they say, and then offer them $48,500 and say thats it. You gotta remain calm, dont let them see you anxious. Act like you dont give a **** about the car and you will be surprised what you can get for this car. I paid $49,500 for it last month, and I couldnt really play hardball with them cause they did a free courtesy trade for me. they took my car as a trade in and didnt charge a penny for a fee to sell it back to the buyer that I found for my car otherwise, Im pretty confident that I could have gotten at least another $500 off.
