Default IS F Withdrawl

So it's been a month since I was in a collision. The guy who hit me with his 15 year old Subaru probably already has his check (he is also claiming "soft tissue" injuries even though no air bag deployed and no one left in an ambulance -- the guy also admitted to have *just* undergone hernia surgery ).

The body work is done, two new wheels, a fender, bumper cover, headlight and all new Roadblock "clear bra".

Problem is, and I knew this was a chance why I told them to carefully inspect the front end during teardown, is they couldn't align the wheel. I spoke with the mechanic assigned at the dealer. He said they ordered a strut and will see from there. I hope an elusive report like that doesn't suggest a more serious frame issue.

Anyway, the weather is getting warmer, the potholes are being filled and most of all affecting my withdrawl, is watching all the IS F Youtube videos.

I miss my car.

Man, sorry to hear that. I wouldn't take "delivery" of the car until I was 100% satisfied.

No matter how well the work is, you will always own a car that has been in an accident with a bad carfax to go along with it. The value of your car is cut in half and no one in their right mind would give you anything remotely close to book for your car when you go to sell it or trade it in!

Same here in Mass. I'm keeping my F garaged this week and running my Blazer.

Don't worry, you'll be back in the F in no time.

^Thanks! I went cycling this afternoon and strolled through the dealer lot. Saw it for the first time, thoroughly examining the work. Seeing that anything touched was replaced, it was like brand new. The SMG color match looked perfect at every angle.

There's got to be more to it than that. This wasn't a head on collision with airbag, major frame or engine replacement. I had a bent fender, driver door, pretty wheels nicked and the front wheel alignment issue. My Altima has been hit three times as a parked car (and all three times the driver fessed up if you can believe that) and that didn't make the reports. Are there any statistics to suggest the 1/2 published value?

P.S. I'm keeping that car for 5+ years, anyhow.
