Which Oil Filter?
#62
Man , you guys are hardcore! I have been useing the Tundra filter for 17K. My motor has not blown up yet ! Actually how much good could such a pissant filter do no matter what color it is. Just change your oil and filter at 5K and all will be OK. We do carry 10 quarts of oil to carry the bad stuff around so I think we will be all right. Flame on! We are dealing with a sensitive subject that I have seen gets carried overboard on many forums.

Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead, but I just picked up a Lexus 51010 Oil Filter and I noticed that it was made in Thailand. The reason I thought you guys would be interested was that I noticed that there was some debate about the Toyota V8 YZZA1 Filters being made in Thailand vs the Lexus 51010 filters being made in Japan. Makes you wonder if the Toyota YZZA1 filters are exactly the same as the more expensive Lexus Filter...Darshana S...
My box says "Made in Japan", but I haven't bought one in a while.. Since I got like 5 over a year ago..

So I'm answering this question 5 years later. The Mobile 1 EP filter is the M1C-453:

A pair of them on Amazon sells for about $38.
Supposed to hold twice as much contaminants as the stock filter.
