Im in the same boat. I was thinking BFG's or PS2's.

Thing is just like the first night i ran the car i wasnt able to launch above 1500rpm without spinning tires So 60'=
Oh and keep in mind the car was hot lapped around 4 times before this run.

Here is an example. Here i launched around 1800rpm. Didnt do much of a burnout because i had just ran the 12.79 the run before. No wait

How much fuel did you have in the tank this time around? The last time you had 3/4. Reason I ask is that last night your DA was +1278ft as opposed to a more optimum DA of 127ft on your previous run and you still managed to both shorten your time and increase the mph. The only thing I can think of is a weight difference.

Good job

i had around 3-4 gallons less. ive been looking at a few of the other times for the car and i noticed that many of the other cars have a much higher 1/8th mph than i do. But for some reason i gain allot by the 1/4th mile. Any thoughts on this?

The first thing that comes to mind is that the track may have a slight incline for the first 1/8th then a slight decline on the last 1/8th. It appears to equal itself out as your final times and mph are within the average.

**EDIT** Just realized your car isn't stock right? You removed your mufflers and secondary cats right?

My best run from last night (same track as MRx..) - this was about my 11th run for the evening, with the previous runs being at 9:56, 9:59

(Left = Ford Lightning, Right = Me)

Two runs against Mr.:
(Me = left)

(Me = right)

I had about 2/3rd's of a tank of gas at this point (was an unplanned night at the track) and approximately 50 lbs of stuff in the trunk + spare, etc.

Could be the case but i doubt a slight incline would make a 4-5mph difference.
Do you think it could be because im not launching the car had at all?

And yes ive got no mufflers and secondary cats

For some reason, both my IS350 and IS-F had the BEST runs hotlapping. It seems like the engine likes to remain hot while the air intake remains cool. When my car sits around too long, it seems like the car isn't as strong.

Just like on the dyno. Almost every time, my 4th run is the best. All my runs on the dyno are done with little to no cool down in between.

I did a total of 13 runs. Occasionally i'd take a break and open the hood, but that was only on about 3 of the runs. Most of them were < 5 minutes apart, some < 2 minutes apart. The car ran almost identical (and sometimes better) each time... it doesn't even break a sweat. I know this isn't a brake thread - but i must say, i LOVE the brakes. Repeat 120MPH>15MPH stops without the least bit of fade.. what more could you want?

And yes - I do have the SRT intake. It sucks.
